This trek takes us across less traveled countryside to Tsomoriri Lake at 4500m.  We begin from the small village of Rumste and continue through pastureland and open country to the wide Tibetan Changtang plains. We cross some passes which don’t seem too high as we are already at an average altitude of 3960m to 4200m.  Chances of seeing wildlife – marmots, ibex, blue sheep, skyangs( wild asses) are plenty . In the summer months the pastures here spring to life with mountain wild flowers. Not too difficult, this trek offers one a chance to see the high altitude lakes and the wide open plains where the Tibetan nomads (Changpas) can still be seen moving around with their herds of sheep and living in their yak skin tents.
