  • Day 1
    Arrive Kathmandu. Transfer to hotel.
  • Day 2
    Fly to Bhadrapur. Drive to Phidim(1234m) – 5 hrs. O/N Lodge.
  • Day 3
    Drive to Taplejung and Suketar(3 ½ hrs) on a rough road, meet with crew. After lunch, it is a short walk camp at Lalikharka (2265m). 4hrs O/N Camp
  • Day 4
    Trek to Kande Bhanjyang(2129m). Camp on the ridge – a fantastic camp with our first views of Kanchenjunga range – 7 hrs
  • Day 5
    Trek to Phonpe Danda(1858m) The day ends with a final climb to camp in a terraced field at Phonpe Danda – 6 to 7 hrs.
  • Day 6
    Trek to Yamphudin(2080m): Descend to the Khesewakhola and cross the river on a suspension bridge. Cimb up to the ridge and through fields to Yamphudin – the last permanent settlement in this region. 7 to 7 ½ hrs.
  • Day 7
    Trek to Lasiya Bhanjyang(3400m) Leaving civilisation behind, you cross the OmjeKhola(river) and climb steeply to camp in the ridge. – 6 hrs.
  • Day 8
    Trek to Torongton(2995m): Begin with a long and steep ascent to Deoralidanda through rhododendron forests to a clearing at Chitre . After crossing the bridge you camp at a clearing - Torongtan – 4 hrs.
  • Day 9
    Trek to Tseram(3870m): Today it is a good and pleasant walk through forests on a good path with occasional glimpse of the mountains. Camp is in a nice grassy spot. 5 hrs.
  • Day 10
    Trek to Ramze(4500m) - 3 ½ to 4 hrs. Excursion to Oktang(4800m) for the most outstanding view of the main peak of Kanchenjunga which has remained hidden or as a small pyramid till now.
  • Day 11
    Retrace steps to Tseram.
  • Day 12
    Cross Sinelapcha la(4690m), Mirginla(4640m) & Sinionla(4625m) to Selela( 4230m). Camp at Selela 8- 9 hrs.
  • Day 13
    Trek to Ghunsa(3425m): Camp is amidst the small village. 4 hrs. Afternoon at leisure.
  • Day 14
    Contingency day.
  • Day 15
    Trek to Kambachen(4100m): The trail follows the Ghunsakhola along the valley floor through stunted rhododendron and Juniper forests. You can see the terminal moraine of the Jannu glacier. Descend to the summer settlement of Kambachen – 7 hrs.
  • Day 16
    Trek to Lhonak(4750m): Continue up along the river bank crossing a boulder filed and then up a slope to a clearing (Kharka). The views keep getting better especially of the Ramdang glacier. An hour further leads to the snout of the Kanchenjunga glacier across whose moraine raises Pyramid Peak, Tent Peak and Nepal Peak. Fantastic campsite with tremendous views in all directions. 6 hrs
  • Day 17
    Trek to Pangpema(5143m)- North Base Camp and return to Lhonak. The trail is not very clear today as you walk along the lateral moraine of the Kanchenjunga glacier. The views through are stunning as you keep walking up with valley. Sharphu peaks dominate the horizon down the valley. Pangpema is truly one of the most spectacular places – 8 hrs. O/N Lhonak
  • Day 18
    Retrace steps to Khambachen for lunch.
  • Day 19
    Trek towards Jannu Base Camp and descend to Ghunsa.
  • Day 20
    Trek to Gyabla and further to Thyangyani (2380m).6 ½ to 7 hrs.
  • Day 21
    Continuing high above the steep canyon below. Finally, a short climb leads you to camp outside a Guest house at Sekathum (1600m) – 6 ½ - 7 hrs.
  • Day 22
    Leave early for a short hike to Tapethok( 2 hrs) where you meet with vehicles and begin the long drive to Phidim – ( 7 ½ hrs)
  • Day 23
    Drive to Bhadrapur( 41/2hrs) to catch the afternoon flight to Kathmandu.
  • Day 24
    Fly home.
