Often referred to as the "world's toughest trek", the Lunana Snowman trek , an extension of the Laya Gasa trek crosses several high passes going through pristine countryside and rich forests, villages and meeting with the hardy people living in these remote highlands. The landscape and scenery is spectacular as you travel from the lower valleys to the high mountain valleys , the lush greenery giving way to high altitude lakes , mountains and remote villages which remain cut off from the rest of the country for most part of the year. This challenging trek promises to be the ultimate for those seeking a high altitude , remote and pristine trek. The challenge also lies in completing the trek which has a very short window for a successful crossing. Good fitness and previous high altitude trek experience is necessary to embark on this trek. This is one epic mountain journey for the ardent mountain pilgrim.
