First explored by Tilman in the 1950s, the remote valleys of Nar and Phu lies very close to the Tibetan border and the people are ethnically of Tibetan origin. Crossing high passes, you visit remote villages with wonderful views of snow capped peaks , trekking through narrow canyons, across high passes, forests and amazing landscape whilst getting an insight into the ancient culture of this region as you visit their monasteries, homes and meet with the people. Opened to tourists in late 2002, this area still sees less tourists .
