An excellent biking route, we drive to Gangtok the capital of Sikkim from where we begin our tour biking through less crowded roads across the countryside to West Sikkim passing several villages and valleys of paddy cultivation, cardamom plantations and fluttering prayer flags . All along the views of Kanchenjunga, Sikkim and Darjeeling’s crowning glory, never seem to cease. The trip culminates with a visit to Darjeeling and the final but fantastic bike ride on a secluded road – The old military road as the british called it as they travelled from Kolkata (then Calcutta ) to Darjeeling. We spend the last night at the quaint Cochraine Place hotel overlooking the famous tea gardens.
